The strong northerly (north west also) Meltemi seems to be featuring in the forecasts for several days to come, so we opted to sit on the sheltered side of Lipsi harbour wall for 3 nights. We seem also to be getting slightly better at reversing in during a cross wind, relying on the dropping anchor to prevent the bow from wandering. So the chance to walk the island without having to risk our dodgy tender. And also phone around to see where we can get a new tender, and also covers (chaps) made.
Whilst it’s hot during the day, as the sun sets, it’s getting quite cool, necessitating long sleeves and trousers!
As we left on Monday morning, we managed to pick up our neighbour’s anchor, who over the weekend had had his anchor lifted by another boat and dropped over ours. No major issues as he kindly popped out in his tender and freed them both.
