Friday 3rd July, Port Napoleon

With guests turning up at our home in Weymouth on Saturday and with travel and quarantine restrictions gradually being lifted, we decided to make a run to Jacana in Port Napoleon. Rather than flying to Marseille, we decided on a very relaxing car ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao and a not so relaxing 500 mile drive across northern Spain and France to the boat, arriving at about 11pm last (Thursday) evening.

We’ve booked a lift in for tomorrow (Saturday) so up fairly early getting her ready with a coat of antifoul and other jobs. Unfortunately with her out of the water the fridge was out of action so no cold beer just quite yet and the use of empty plastic bottles and a she wee!

We plan to leave the car here at Port Napoleon while we are sailing and then make our way back here by whatever means from wherever we end up, hopefully Greece in late September.
