A late start this morning, in fact, almost afternoon, as last evening we went into town and came across a really good 3 piece band playing mainly 70s rock music outside a bar. Interestingly the audience of about 100 ranged from 5 year old to couples, tapping away in their 80s!
Just 9km with 2 locks and an unautomated bridge where we had to call the canal control point and wait half an hour for a VNF chap to turn up. As we waited we read the leaflet we picked up at Vitry-le-François and realised we should have called earlier.
Overnight then at a lovely well tended quay in the village of Chamouilley. We also ventured to the local hotel for a very cheap and delicious 4 course evening meal (less than 17 euros) plus wine.
