We set our expectations a bit lower today with 16km and 8 locks, which despite going smoothly still took over 4 hours. We estimate that each lock takes at least 20mins from the first press on the remote control, wait for the lock to drain, enter carefully, tie up to the bollards, press the remote control again to start the fill, fill and wait for the upstream gates to open.
Overnight then in St Dizier, on a long concrete quay, next to a car park, next to a cinema and bar. Could be an interesting night. At least water and electricity are available, although we need to get a free jeton (token) from the cinema later.
