We motored the 7 miles north to enjoy our final anchorage in West Archangelos Bay, and an evening meal in its tavernas, the only building on the small island. With liftout scheduled for 8 on Saturday morning we awoke early and motored across to one of the yards waiting buoys. With one boat being launched, it was about 9 when we lifted and dropped onto one of the yards cradles.
So a couple of relaxed days, shutting down Jacana before on Monday morning, enduring the 10min walk to Leros airport for a short hop to Athens and a further flight to Gatwick. With a 2 hour transfer window, we anticipated lots of time to spare at Athens, however not the case, having to retrieve a hold bag, and check it in, push through security and passport control, we made the London flight with minutes to spare. We were however back in Weymouth by 1800!
