We felt like film stars arriving at Bristol Airport and being greeted by our taxi driver who got us to the van in good time, so cover off, bikes on, pick up the mail from Steve and Carol’s, and we’re off. Well not quite because we detoured firstly to Neil and Leah’s at MKM for nibbles and a glass of wine in exchange for looking round their excellent new kitchen and bathroom displays, Aldi and then what we’d been craving for months, fish and chips from Daniels. Unfortunately we took them to the camp site to eat and by the time we got there, found our correct pitch they were not at their best. But nevertheless, well worth waiting for. However, a busy time at Moor Farm in Chickerell, opposite the Knights in the Bottom pub then cycling into Weymouth on Thursday morning to pick up a new second plotter for Jacana, back in the evening for dinner with Alan and Mary, then sailing with Alan on Friday morning, and on Saturday, a wonderful cream tea at the Sailing club, thanks to Sara, Andrea and the team. A beautiful sunny day on the club’s balcony and a chance to catch up with friends.
