Tuesday 1st to Friday 4th June 2021 Sway, near Lymington

This was a great location and definitely worth a return visit sometime, just 3 other caravans, on a large flat field, only a couple of miles from Lymington, and the weather was reasonable. So after stocking up with victuals (can’t get away from nautical speak) in Dorchester we eventually found the site down some very narrow lanes, making the mistake of relying totally on the satnav instead of a bit of route planning to maximise use of A roads. But at least the building supply lorry was happy to reverse! A chance then to do a bit of shopping in Lymington in my favourite shirt shop (Heavies) and get some extra food in to cook on the new gas bbq for the visit of Philip, Ellie and Rory on Wednesday. It was really great to see them all and see just how much Rory had grown now that he was 9 weeks old. Also the opportunity to test out our newly purchased charity shop game of carpet boules, where we discovered that the tiny jack easily gets lost, even in short grass!
Friday soon came and we ventured to the next site, not however before stopping in Lyndhurst for a cream tea (at lunchtime) where we were well and truly defeated by the large slice of cake!
