Well we arrived on Wednesday afternoon with no rain, but that soon changed, and the strong winds and rain finally abated on Saturday morning. So virtually no sleep on Wednesday or Thursday nights with gale force winds constantly rocking PandA and rain beating down on the roof. But we did get our second covid jabs in Yeovil on Friday morning, so we’re up to date. And we finally got out on the bikes on Saturday morning and headed up some very muddy lanes to the lovely historic Somerset village of Milborne Port, with its own set of blue plaques and a pub! Yes we actually had our first pub meal with a pint for well over a year in the Tippling Philosopher. Then back to PandA and home to Weymouth for a few days.
Despite a week of very unseasonal weather the 8 nights on board PandA have been great fun and its layout is ideal for the both of us, particularly the ability to raise up the made up bed when we’re finished with it. And no major issues so far, other than buying a square frying pan, that doesn’t fit well on the hob. The shower, oven and grill work well, as does the hot water and well needed (and well used this week) hot air heater.
Our journey gets underway again in a week’s time!
