Fortunately we managed to get onto the ‘sheltered’ side of the main mole in Lipsi, although with the wind direction close to the harbour entrance, we still got significant swell bouncing inside the harbour making the 2 night stop noisy at times. Not a lot to say about Lipsi really, beautiful island again, nice walks, we walked to the other side of the island and went for a swim, good tavernas, and an excellent bakery.
Monday afternoon was particularly entertaining with a German male-crewed charter boat attempting to come in stern to on the outside of the mole with a cross wind and managing to pick up the anchor of the only boat that had managed to tie up stern to successfully on that side. The continuous swell and particularly the noise of waves coming under the mole eventually persuaded us to leave and head further south to the nearby island of Leros.
