We finally escaped Kardamila after getting the UTL stamped, handing back the hire car keys and filling up with water and motored the 10 miles round to the next island of Inousses, and tying up side-to in the capital town/village along with one other yacht. Inoussses is a very pleasant village built on the side of a hill with the usual narrow streets and steps leading up everywhere. As we walked round Sunday evening we stumbled on what looked like a good closed bakery. Despite Google Maps saying otherwise, it was firmly closed when we we walked up in anticipation of fresh bread and pastries.
As we left a very pleasant port policeman stopped by for a chat, telling us amongst other things how he did a masters degree in Art at Cambridge (not the uni!). Just before he left us however, he did ask if we had a Transit Log, although disappointingly he didn’t want to see it.
