A few days (4 nights) in the beautiful town of Skopolos. We’d actually visited a week earlier by bus from Loutraki, but even so, it was well worth the additional days exploring it’s narrow streets, bars and tavernas. We also met up again with Roger and Cheryl on Babette, enjoying their company for a meal and a cocktail. Whilst on the harbour wall we were recommended “the Blue Bar”, run by Vangelis who feeds the harbour cats. It was amusing watching him one evening putting out cat food, he shooed off some crows, helped by his two small dogs then when his back was turned his 2 small dogs started eating the cat food! So we did visit his bar, the Blue Bar where he insisted on giving us a CD compilation on his bar music. In fact he wanted to give us 2 cd’s but he couldn’t find the second, so he said come by in the morning and he would put it behind a flower pot. Needless to say it was there in the morning, and they are 2 truly excellent cd’s. We’ll definitely be back next week with Fern and Stew.
