Another still and cold day, so again we motored along the Evia coast, this time to the town of Loutra Edipsos. We managed to get the last space at the entrance of the harbour, surrounded by very large fishing boats. All was dead calm when we arrived, but like Limni our previous stop, despite no wind, a swell developed causing Jacana to rock and roll, and had we not had our fender board (the scaffolding plank we brought from the UK in 2019 for use in the canals) our fender covers would have been ripped to shreds.
Anyway we did get off for an evening stroll to the hot (in fact very hot) thermal springs, and take in what seemed to be a slightly run down large town with little character and a few modern bars along the water’s edge
So with the swell slapping the underside of the transom most of the night, and the fishing boats returning at about 0500, not a good night’s sleep. We left at 0730!
