A bit of family time for nearly a week with short day ‘sails’ to the bay round the back of Poros, to Russian Bay and 2 other bays for after lunch swims off the stern of the boat, plus the play park, walks round the harbour, various Taverna lunches and of course, ice cream. On the Friday we also caught the ferry round to Hydra for the day to explore the beautiful town and see the horses, mules and donkeys carrying goods up the narrow streets. On the last day, Ann (aka Grandma), put on a Punch and Judy show made from a cornflakes packet and props from old sportswear. 😁😂
And part 2 of the transit log saga. After (now) 10 online failed attempts of applying for an Unlimited Transit Log with an unhelpful ‘http 500 error’ I sat with Christina for 2 hours in the Customs Office filling in the application together. After yet another failure, probably because of the number or size of attachments, she gave up and issued a hand written UTL in exchange for €30. I think she was glad to see the back of me. Then literally a 2 minute visit to the Port Police to stamp in and out, and we now believe we satisfy the ever changing Greek bureaucracy.
