We’d arranged to meet Gwent and Pete in Lefkas on Monday, so left Vonitsa harbour wall early (for us) at 0800 to catch the 1100 Lefkas bridge opening. After motoring against the wind for 20 minutes we turned west between the mainland and a small island and enjoyed a brilliant sail, past Preveza, along the Preveza Channel and then south to the entrance of the Lefkas bridge, arriving with 5 minutes to spare!
In the main season, the Lefkas town pontoons have loads of spaces, but this early, charter boats are still being prepared and the only space available was next to other friends Rob and Lizzie, and this was only for one night.
So a bit of shopping, paying the pontoon fee (€6.21), dodging the showers, which seemed to comprise Sahara dessert mud!, Ann getting her hair sorted and drinks on board with Gwen, Pete, Rob and Lizzie followed by dinner and drinks together. Unfortunately our favourite bar, the Havana bar was yet to open.
Next morning, another cold and dull day, off to Nidri.
