We tied up stern to on the Town Quay close to the marina, because it’s a bit more sheltered this end, and the Polis supermarket will deliver almost to the boat.
So Wed evening prior to stocking up we ate at the Mermaid one of our favourite Tavernas in Preveza where as always we were given a warm welcome by owner Tassos who came and sat with us while our food was prepared, telling us about his winter exploits in Thailand!
In the morning we did the supermarket run and finally Jacana’s fridge and cupboards were full of food and beer (not that we need much cool beer at the moment as the weather is definitely getting colder), and thankfully it was delivered to the passerelle. In the afternoon we went to Ann’s favourite jewellers and Paul bought her a pair of earrings as a belated birthday present. We’d been there a couple of times with Ann’s jewellery that needed repairs. Each time he said, “No charge” .
So Thursday night we finally ate delicious pork chops on board for the first time this year, although down below, as it started to rain!
On leaving Preveza after lunch, we picked up a nicely painted Rocna anchor with ours, unfortunately it was still attached to the boat that was next to us. After a few minutes freeing ourselves from it and re-dropping it we were on our way to Vonitsa.
