Trezonia is an island of 2 parts. Round the back is a large, slightly neglected but well sheltered harbour, and at the front, through an alleyway is a lovely sandy bay, with tavernas and bars and day trippers coming across from the mainland on the very frequent passenger ferry. And some very pleasant walks.
Having motored from Galaxidi we arrived with no wind and although we could have anchored, we opted to go sideways on, on one of the concrete walls. Yet again the scaffolding plank we’ve been carrying since we left Weymouth came in useful protecting the fenders from the very rough concrete, particularly as the afternoon wind picked up and started blowing us onto the wall. In fact the Tuesday afternoon wind persisted right through until early Friday morning.
Overall a great stop, some very friendly German cruisers next to us, and across on the other wall another Hallberg Rassy. We obviously couldn’t resist walking round to chat with them (Dirk, Loretta and Liza), and were immediately welcomed on board for a tour, drinks and nibbles, and returned the hospitality on Jacana on Thursday evening followed by dinner with them in one of the tavernas.
And thankfully the temperature has dropped a bit so we were able to explore a few of the many paths around the island.
Another place we will return to, especially as it was free, and with a few water taps (although next time we will need to moor closer to one)
