En route to Astros we managed to get a plastic bag wrapped round the prop, although cleared it with a few bursts of reverse. So in Astros, Ann dived down to double check that the prop was all clear.
The must see in Astros is the castle overlooking the town, but as we arrived early afternoon on Thursday the heavens opened, so we decided to visit it on Friday and stop 2 nights. At €9 a night it wasn’t going to break the bank for the extra night. In the event the castle wasn’t very spectacular but it didn’t matter, we needed a rest day! But probably the main highlight of Astros was eating at Batis Taverna, where the owner Vagelis prepared a few select different dishes daily, and made his own very drinkable wine. In fact we ate here on both nights, firstly with a couple, Andy and Sue from a neighbouring boat and on our own on Friday evening. Vangelis even asked where our crew had gone!
