This is the day we’ve been waiting for, lift in at 1300. So a chance to get everything ready, water topped up, fenders out, lines attached, tender lifted onto gantry, saloon tidied with tools put away, finally ship shape! Also the chance for a quick proper shower, the last for a few months?
Just gone one the lift team arrived and with great efficiency lifted Jacana, removed all her props and she was on her way to the boat hoist. 10 mins later we had antifouled over the prop pads, were in the water, checked for leaks and on our way. Only a short first leg across to Preveza Town Quay where we made a perfect stern to mooring with anchor and finally turned on the fridge. Cold beer at last!
