Varko is a sheltered Bay across to the east of Nidri on the mainland, and it was the chance to catch up with Gwen and Pete for the first time this year and also Rob and Lizzie. So a very convivial evening on board ‘What’s the Rush’ and a day to recover!, but with thunderstorms forecast we decided on Thursday to head for the shelter of Vliho Bay. With freshening winds we had a great sail back, the best of the year by far.
