Tuesday 28th July, Torre del Greco to Amalfi

A windless day so motored the 28 miles out of the Bay of Naples and along the spectacular Amalfi coast, on the advice of friends Gwen and Peter to Amalfi. The mooring here is challenging, so much so that boats are boarded by the mooring owner at the harbour entrance who then drives boats through a very narrow gap and effects what would be a hand brake turn in a car into the stern to mooring. He did it at frightening speed, turning and reversing at precisely the right spot in a single manoeuvre.
We then spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the delightful streets of Amalfi.
