There’s getting to be a pattern to the weather, no wind until noon and then from the NW or W in the afternoon. So we motored for a couple of hours and then a decent sail for the rest of the afternoon, arriving through dense mussel beds into the very crowded volcanic crater at Porto Miseno. There must have been at least 200 pleasure boats anchored up with sun bathing Italians and small boats constantly coming and going. We squeezed into a small gap and dropped the anchor. Three hours later they had all gone! and we were the only boat at anchor in what will hopefully be a reasonably quiet night, assuming the crater doesn’t errupt!
