Day 155 Marseille to Port du Rouet

Thursday 3rd October

Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer in Marseille as the two sailing clubs in Marseille port, the only organisations offering visitors moorings were hosting a Regatta this weekend. So we waited as long as we could whilst waiting for the wind to drop for the 11 mile sail across the bay to the sheltered north coast. En route we encountered gusts up to 27 knots. The first small bay we arrived at, La Redonne had a very sheltered harbour but unfortunately most was bouyed off probably for bathing, so we went along the coast for a mile and dropped the anchor in the Port du Rouet, for a fairly sheltered night.
