Friday 13th September
Another great sail, this time close hauled for most of the way the to Port of Porquerolles on the island of the same name, where we picked up a mooring buoy in the harbour. We soon discovered that this is where hundreds of tourists visit daily, hiring bicycles or walking exploring the many beaches and remote paths. Most return to the mainland however at dusk. Interestingly despite a permanent population of about 200, the very picturesque town has 3 Chandlers where we managed to get a fuse for the windlass and spark plug for the outboard. We've decided to explore more tomorrow.
