Time to move on to roughly half way towards Lyon, so we pulled in at the Yacht club du Rhone at St-Germain-au-Mont-d’Or in the early afternoon. (why isn’t it the club de Saone, when the Rhone is 25km away?) The club looks a bit like Castle Cove Sailing Club, with an elevated balcony and club house, although overall a bit rundown with rather old showers and toilets. It did however have an excellent floating pontoon with power and water. A bit expensive at €15 euros a night, moreso, as the Clubhouse appeared closed and without the live music we have become accustomed to on previous Saturday evenings.
