Friday
What a contrast from yesterday, dead calm with virtually no wind so we left at noon and with the tide and engine made the 33 miles to Fecamp in just over 4 hours. Fecamp is a typical French port, set in a lovely valley. Its fame is the home of Benedictine, a flavoured spirit or liqueur, although not quite sure as we haven't opened the bottle yet.
I also discovered the reason why the log on the Raymarine plotter underreads, apparently its a known feature only fixable via a software upgrade, which I'll try to do once I can find a compact flash card.
