Two days for the price of one in Gouda. We unpacked and unfolded the bikes and headed out to Gouda, avoiding the very many other young and old cyclists. No need for helmets here apparently as cyclists seem to rule the road! After a quick tour of the city centre, we headed east and visited Jenny and Jon's lovely home on the bank, well below it actually, of the Ijssal canal, enjoying a gorgeous lunch in the garden entertained by one year old Ted. We later all feasted on one of Jon's infamous home made Thai curry's on board Jacana.
Next morning, after refixing Jacana's central windscreen which had come loose a few days earlier, we took to the bikes again meeting Jenny for a coffee and Jon's parents, Marrie and Geritt, for a cup of tea and yummy cake. Now back on board nursing bruised and tender nether regions. (Speak for yourself, Paul!).
