The day started with a quick chat with the marina reception staff, who now said we could stay as long as we liked! Quite a change from yesterday's attitude. Next we walked round the corned to check the mast removal situation with Christophe, confirming that there was no chance today, but tomorrow at 0900 was still on. He then mentioned in passing (his English is excellent) that the river to Paris was going to be closed to all pleasure craft until the end of the Armada – so it looks like we might be here until the 16th, well there are a lot worse places to stay! However things then took a turn when the marina staff asked us to move Jacana to another berth, and also telling us that we were now OK until only Saturday. They also confirmed that the river upstream was to be closed from tomorrow, but that it might be open for a while on Saturday. Next stop the river gendarmerie who live above the marina for the (hopefully) definitive on the Seine closure. Their English was not brilliant but we believe it will be open between 0700 and 0900 each day of the event, so latest plan, unless things take another turn, is to enjoy Rouen and the Armada until Saturday and get out early. We'll see!
Then spent the rest of the day dodging torrential showers, a bit of laundry and maintenance.
