We were hoping for a brisk broad reach sail for the 20 miles across to Sounion Bay, but unfortunately the 15 to 25 kt wind was too close to the bow and with a moderate sea we managed to sail for a couple of hours and motor sailed the rest. And it’s definitely not summer temperatures any more. So we anchored over night under the protection of Poseidon’s Temple along with 3 other boats whilst being blasted with 30 kt gusts.
