Monday 7th to Tuesday 8th October, Poros

No wind so we motored round the top of Methana to anchor in Poros Naval bay. However en route we anchored off the Pausania baths half way along the northern Methana coast. Took the dinghy over, tied it to the rocks and clambered over. This is a small thermally heated bath, (well maintained with a donation box in the doorway) smelling very strongly of hydrogen sulphide, big enough for 3 people, that is supposed to offer health benefits. You sit in it, a pump runs for 15 mins to fill it, and you pull a plug for the water to drain away ready for the next people. Well is was warm, not sure about it’s benefits! We showered off the stern of our boat to rinse off. Philip, Ellie, Rory (3) and Oscar(1) are arriving in the morning, staying in an apartment for 6 nights, so in the morning we moved onto the town quay.
