This was another one night stop but we did anchor in a bay en route for lunch, after which the wind picked up and we sailed the 2 hours north to Tyros. Fortunately (actually very fortunately!) there was a lull in the cross wind as we reversed into a space on the harbour wall and once tied up, the winds started again necessitating a breast line back to the wall. At 1900 the wind switched off completely. We had to pay here but at €6.27 it didn’t break the bank. So after dinner on board we walked to the 3 old windmills overlooking the bay and sought out an ice cream!
It’s clear that the season still hasn’t really started yet, with lots of empty beaches and tavernas.
