We finally had a half decent sail from Porto Kayio across the gulf to Sarakiniko Bay on the island of Elafonisos. The bay has a long glorious golden sandy beach backed by sandunes. However with heavy rain we didn’t bother going ashore. Overnight, despite the wind being offshore the swell from south west grew resulting in a very uncomfortable night. Tuesday morning was much calmer, although as evening drew closer, the SW swell started again and we decided enough was enough and upped anchor and went round the corner to anchor in the more sheltered Frangos Bay.
