With the wind forecast to be from the NE we settled on anchoring in the NE corner of Varko Bay, just up from all the beach parasols. As night fell we could hear the thud thud thud of the music from over the hill in Wild Bay. Next day (Sunday) we anchored off Palairos, this time south of the harbour near the tavernas where we went ashore and enjoyed an evening cocktail watching the sunset. The Panorama taverna doesn’t do take aways but we managed to persuade them to give us some of their famously good onion bhajis to enjoy on board with our homemade curry.
We also bought 15m of 3 strand rope to make some new fender ties, where else in the world do they sell rope by weight!
