This is where Philip, Ellie and Rory are staying when they visit in October, so after mooring up opposite the marina (stern to with anchor and more importantly, free) we walked round the harbour to see where they had booked. As a result of last night’s storm, Vathi had no power and restaurateurs sat around looking lost and the couple of supermarkets were in darkness although open for business. We learnt from Peter who now lives in Greece, and helps Yannis in Sivota, that both electricity and then water supplies can be affected by storms. Ann had been lucky to get a shower at the taverna in Sivota before we left, albeit cold and in the dark! 😂
