With strong winds forecast later in the day, we headed north along the mainland coast to the village of Sagiada (other spellings are available) and its sheltered harbour. Another first in Jacana, this time dropping the anchor and reversing and tying up stern to, to the harbour wall. Again this seems to have gone well, although as the wind has picked up to 20+ knots from the stern quarter, we’ve added additional lines from the bow and midships cleats to the wall. In fact, the harbour has no shelter from the wind and waves, and going to the restaurant ended up being a very wet experience!
