Another 50 miler today, although a bit less wind so only sailed for a couple of hours. Some beautiful scenery on the way with the coastline now turning mountainous. We decided to over night in Base Nautica Flavio Gioia, at Gaeta, although reversing into the allocated space with a brisk wind on the bow ended up being very challenging, not helped by a marina member of staff nudging the bow in his rib in the wrong direction at times. After attempts from different directions we eventually made it, and despite the €72 per night we opted to stay for a couple of days. The old town beckons tomorrow……
