Monday 26th August
After washing the boat down from the dirt and grime of France's inland waterways and a restock of beer we made the short 5 mile trip to Port Napoléon (only 1 mile as the seagull flies) past the Navy Service boatyard, the largest boat hard in Europe to Port Napoléon which can only accommodate 1000 on shore boats! Our mast is here and being fitted on Wednesday, so tomorrow will be taken up in putting back the radar dish, reflector and rigging, if I can find it.
We've booked in for a week, so an opportunity to fix things, buy new batteries, or not, and generally get Jacana ready for sailing again and plan where next.
