Tuesday 20th August
We decided on a rest day in the beautiful very old town of Viviers. However, when we poked our heads out, what had happened to the temperature! it was less than 20° needing trousers and a coat and was raining. However undeterred we did explore the market, where one stall holder tried unsuccessfully to rip us off €13 for a spoonful of garlic paste. Then we walked along the very narrow streets and delapidated buildings up to the St. Vincent Cathedral which was fortuitously warm inside.
