Day 108 Tournon-sur-Rhône to Valence

Sunday 18th August

It was touch and go as to whether we were going to travel today, with the forecast suggesting 20kt southerlies gusting to 45knots. First thing however, it did feel relatively calm, so after a quick run round the car boot sale we set off. It was windy! with waves breaking over the bow at times. Unlike yesterday, the one lock was all ready when we arrived and we came out the bottom with no delay – it still takes 30 mins. A few miles later we moored up, battling the 20-30 knot winds on a hammerhead in Valence marina.
