Back travelling today, beginning the start of the relaxing (hopefully) journey south, although for the next stage we take the river Marne which broadly takes us east. Just a short run today, out of the marina lock, turning left up the Seine for a couple of miles and onto the Marne. After a lock and a 600m tunnel to avoid a large loop in the river we arrive in the very leafy suburbs of Paris. Another lock and a grand total of 7 miles brings us to Nogent-sur-Marne where we buy 198 litres to fill the 340 litre fuel tanks and moor up until the morning.
